Introduction:
As we can’t imagine a single day without having a cup of coffee, that’s why I chose Coffee grinder Machine to write about. In general, the coffee shops have coffee grinders of different brand. I choose the MDX coffee grinder from Nuova Simonelli brand.
Among all the popular similarly sized commercial-grade grinders, the Nuova Simonelli MDX is used the most (1. crew review, 2020). Though it seemed to fall into the same class, but it is separated than the other machine as it ground coffee quickly, uniformly and easily and we could extract a shot of espresso in under a minute from start to finish.
As I study more about it, I explored its unique features which made it particular choice for coffee connoisseurs and crafters. The specialties of this machine are given below. Unlike the other grinders that keep the bottom burr stationary and move the top burr up and down during calibration, the Nuova Simonelli
MDX does the opposite such that the top burr remains stationary while the bottom adjusts up and down during calibration. Due to have this structure, we don’t lose grind setting and post-cleaning during the cleaning of top part.
On top of that, the MDX has pretty tight adjustable fittings such as a smooth moving knob on top of the grinder and some-jerky adjustment collar. We use the knob to dial in the grind which make it easy to operate without a lot of hard work such as knowing the grind setting.

History:
Nuova Simonelli were the manufacturers of expresso machines in Italy since 1936. He offered Panini grills, Grinders, home and office expresso machines, bar dishwashers. The Simonelli group is well-known for the production of high-quality commercial expresso machines and its parts (citation 3: Simonelli USA, 2020)

Description:
The MDXS is a direct evolution of the MDX. This evolution includes new design, bean hopper, metal dozer lever, and external dosage regulator. It has the higher capability of delivering high quantity and quality grounds in seconds which makes it suitable for the small to medium shops although having some lack of bells and whistles.
Though, it’s a fairly standard mid-sized commercial grinder — removable bean hopper, stainless steel flat burrs with a ~1100lb. bean lifetime, front doser chamber to capture ground coffee on the fly. In Brandon’s crew review video (citation 1: crew review, 2020), he goes over all the Nuova Simonelli MDX’s features and specs. He also talked about its features and performances.

Feature:
· Micrometric grind adjustment:
The barista can adjust to the smallest part at any time of the process with the help of this adjustment tool.
· Stainless steel 65mm burrs:
This grinder has Steel Burrs which make it standard. It has the ability to grind up to 1500 pounds of coffee before requiring replacement.

· Portafilter Holder
This grinder is capable of holding the portafilter while it is dosing. The barista can operate other equipment during the grinding process.

· Transparent bean hopper
The Large 1.6 kg transparent hopper helps to grind more beans and letting people know when refilling is necessary.

· Die-cast aluminum body:
The MDXS is made of a hardened aluminum body.

Benefits:
· The special structural feature including the ability to adjust the grind and the quantity of the coffee made the MDX grinder a standard choice for professions such as coffee shops.
· The amount of coffee dosed per shot is transparent which helps to adjust the amount of coffee in the filter by external dosage adjustment.
· The material used in the MDX grinder enhance its durability.
· It has very easy and fast technical structure which made the maintenance simple and low cost. It also has the maximum reliability.
· It has a Large Bean Hopper which can hold up to 900g of beans at the same time. In addition, the bean hopper can be removed while beans are still inside.

Conclusion:
Coffee grinder is an important tool in our daily life as we can’t spend a single day without a coffee. There are different types of coffee grinding machines which are used in different coffee shops. I explained detail about the MDX coffee grinding machine here. I explain its features, parts, benefits etc. to create a clear description of my topic and also separate it from other type of coffee grinder.
Final draft
This final draft is about a technical description of a coffee grinder. I was having problem choosing my topic for it since there are so many technical products out there. Then I have narrowed my thoughts down to the daily necessities and decided to choose something that is related to it. I choose coffee grinder which is the best fitted option to me for this writing. After that I have started doing some intensive research to find a specific brand and model which information is available and easy to find online. With zero idea, I have started writing my technical description about the coffee grinder but as the time goes, I have learnt so many information about it. The intended audience of this technical description is my professor. As the author of this work, I am quite satisfied with my work comparing to my first draft as there has been some changes that I made according to my professor’s advice and peer views. There were some mistakes related to the format in my first draft which I have fixed here. I have made a mistake for the citation which should be according to APA format. I got my professor’s review on my 1st draft and some comment from my peers. I also took help from owl Purdue website. There were lack of indentation, text citation which I have fixed in my final draft. For my research, I used article and YouTube videos to come up with an idea where I can make the technical description understandable for the audience. I have got a diagram to show how it looks like. It’s like creating a higher-level abstraction so that the reader can only focus on the actual content rather than a lot of unnecessary description. During the research I also have learned some useful information like the history of the coffee grinder. The sample technical description from the textbook was also very helpful to understand what should be in a technical description. I think this exercise can help me write better.
